Mongoose bat gives extra power says Hayden

Mongoose bat gives extra power: Hayden
New Delhi, Mar 19: After butchering Delhi Daredevils bowlers with his 'Mongoose bat', Chennai Super Kings opener Matthew Hayden today said the power generated by the specially-designed bat helped him to hit the ball a long way.

Hayden, initially using normal bat, changed to the 'Mongoose bat' after the initial three overs and it showed immediate results as the former Australian clobbered Rajat Bhatia for three fours and a six in the next over, before hitting three sixes off Tillakaratne Dilshan in the 8th over.

"It is always good to try out new products. The mongoose bat is a good product as its gives you lot of power to hit the ball a long way," said Hayden, who blasted a 43-ball 93, bejewelled with nine fours and seven sixes.
